Default Hooking up STI intercooler spray to UTEC?

I have searched all I came up with was something about someone had the APS stage1 and it abled him to make it come on during boost...well anyway. I wanted to use one of the spare soleniod w/ the UTEC to make the sprayer come on when it got too hot over there or auto with boost and so on.

...Would have posted this in the eng. mang. section, but I got flagged as a "Noob" cause I asked like 3 noob questions in a row...O well (sorry AaronWRX I guess)

ANyone know how I could go about doing this

Several people have hooked up Water Injection off of the UTEC. The principle would be the same, only instead of having the wire from the relay go to the water injection unit, it would go to the I/C sprayer. I've never really looked into hooking up anything off of UTEC, but I think I remember a diagram in the back of the manual giving general installation instructions. You could also search the EM & 2.0 forums (maybe 2.5 also, but I don't know for sure that any STi users are using WI) and see if there are discussions on how they hooked it up.

You could buy a Turbosmart E-Boost and set it to go off at a specified Boost range also....I fyou are interested, I know where there is one for 50% less than retail.

^^ both of these are good options. The utec manual really deatails how to use the auxrelay. I'd also check to see if the jdm button will sorta do what you want (it's not automated, but it sure would be easier)

If you are serious about automating this you may want to look into a new resivore:

I'm planning on doing the IC sprayer at some point. I have all the parts needed;(UTEC, switch, nozzles, tubing, pump) the UTEC set-up and wiring are the question marks for me.
