Default anything wrong with allowing the Airbag light to stay on?

okay so I'm getting new seats in my 2005 STi. Are there any adverse affects to NOT installing the resistors? Like will the car default to any kind of trouble mode or will the only effects be:

-airbag light stays on
-other airbags do not function

?

Well if your airbag does ever go bad somehow, you won't know about it.

Probably doesn't happen often but it did happen in my 04 Mazda 3 and they had a recall on it.

It's not too hard to do the resistors, I just did them and am a novice with electrical stuff. Why not put in the resistors and have the peace of mind that if anything else acts up it will throw the light so that you'll know about it?

Doing the resistor mod will take you about a minute or less for each connector - and you're going to have to disconnect them anyway. And you won't grow USED to having a red lightstaring at you - which will matter if another light should illuminate.
