Question Places Near Everett/Seattle to Get 3 inch, 2 bolt Exhaust Gaskets??

You guys know the ones...the kind you need for every aftermarket exhaust that are the most basic fricken gaskets but are never in a normal auto store???

Anyone know where to find them local as opposed to ordering them?

Aaron

Won't find them... I tried. I looked at shucks, napa, b&b, midas, jim green's performance, world one, a diesel truck shop in monroe, and even Greddy themselves. Only place I've found is subydude.com

MAN, that's annoying!

They're like the most normal looking gaskets, except for the fact that they're 3 inch, and you can't get them....??? Ugh.

Anyone else know any possibilities?

got to schucks and get some high temp gasket material. just unroll it and cut your own gasket. they keep it next to the carburator gasket material.

Oh, hey, its no big deal. I found some.

Just for everyone's information, I was able to find gaskets that would work in two places:

Action Auto, Everett
and
Pepboys, Everett

Action had the normal, 3 inch, two bolt, x-ply metal ones that normally are used. There are a couple of DSM fans up at that Action store, which is why I think they had the gaskets. It was in their "performance" section.

Pepboys had a different kind that had metal in the middle (it looked like 1 ply) and hi temp neoprene/rubber/whatever kind of stuff on either side to seal the gasket. The Pepboys gasket was only 2.5 inches, but the bolt holes mated up fine so I just took a pair of tin snips to the inside after I had traced around it using the 3 inch gasket as a guide. I used this one for the resonater to axle-back flanges.

Thanks for all the replies.

Aaron

Hehe, no problem. I've had this damn problem twice. The first time was when I was in Dallas/Ft. Worth and couldn't find one to save my life. I just used a fricken huge donut gasket....ugh.

Also, beware that at the Everett Action Auto, I bought the last one, and they stocked only ONE. So call up there if you need one and talk to Brian DeRosa (he's one of the DSM guys up there) and tell him to stock them more often. He bought this one special on a whim for performance stuff and is the man to get more.

Just warning you!
