Question Quick question about AccessPort

I'm receiving my AP this Thursday. I have the original version of the AccessECU Stage 2 and sooo looking forward to getting the up-to-date revision. My question is, once I mate the AP to my ECU and flash the updated revision, if I ever did unmate the AP from the ECU again, will that revision be gone or would I still have the up-to-date revision on my ECU?

If you unmarry it you will be left with dead stock ECU code, not the old AccessECU code nor the current code, just stock code.
