Question Question on using STi stuff on non STi's

Just wondering if it is unacceptable to use STi stuff on say a 2.5RS. I don't mean like exhaust systems or anything but stuff like the CF sidemarkers that say STi on them or the pink "i" badges. Wouldnt people get on your case about "thinking your an STi" or misdbadging or something similar?

Are they making your car payments? Didn't think so. Who cares about them?

Sti parts are great. In fact in most places besides the U.S. they are factory or dealer options. Use the suspension, driveline even motors. The car will be better for it. Rebadging a stock car to try and fool people is dubious but certianly allowable.

By all means, put sti parts everyhere you can. Swap the whole interior too. Really. Better than most aftermarket stuff.

I don't see any problem with it. They're all imprezas.

Yeah, I suppose I just dont want to look like im trying to hard to look like an STi. But I guess you cant really help that their products have their name it. And how much can I really care about what people think when I'm putting a pink badge on the front of my car anyway? People who dont know whats up will probably be more concerned about that then sidemarkers with 3 letters on them...

Just don't put anything on your car that says VTEC and you'll be fine.

....some people... .....go WAY overboard, and/or try to 'make' an STi out of a sows ear.....and usually fail miserably.

thats definitely the link i was looking for. After reading through that post, I feel kind of bad for even bringing it up...it seems so stupid, lol. I was never planning on putting any STi badges or anything, I was just wondering if most people frown upon other cars with parts that loudly say STi and I've decided that no one really cares. In my opinion, its an aftermarket company and im buying aftermarket parts for my car(that i dont actually own yet but i swear i will soon.) It just happens to be that they say STi, and there happens to be a wrx STi model...thats my conclusion

imo i kinda think its like owning a integra gsr and tryn to build a replica type r , as a wrx to a sti. you could even add some jdm ness to it as well. its all about the way you do it .
