Default Best/cheap heads for swap.

I plan on swapping out my 1.8 block for an legacy turbo block, I want use the 1.8 intake manifold for easy wiring, but what heads should i use (will fit)?
The legacy turbo heads, RS heads, N/A ej22 heads? (I plan on sending the cams to delta cams no matter which i do)
I would like to increase the compression ratio from stock legacy(or keep the same).
Decreasing the C.R. would make it terribly low wouldn't it?

Thanks,
Ken

This doesn't sound like a conversion, sounds like an aftermarket forum thread. You would get a lot of help from over there man. Good luck though

Im using 98 DOHC RS heads on my ej20g. Your intake manifold should fit on those. If you have got the green go for a set of older STI heads.

Anyone know if RS heads would raise or lower the CR?

If you run the RS heads, you will need the RS intake manifold too.

If you want to keep your stock 1.8 intake manifold (like I did) then go with the 2.2 n/a heads. They bolt right up and you don't have to worry about the oil fittings it has built into it for the stock Legacy turbo.

If you're interested, I have a complete set of DOHC heads including intake manifold, exhaust manifolds, etc from a '97 JDM turbo impreza. These have beautiful cloverleaf combustion chambers, and you can just bolt these onto a 2.2 block. I was going to do this, but sold the car. Will sell all parts for $300, you pay shipping.

yes, the price is low, but I am moving, and don't need all of these parts sitting around. There are several suby owners in Michigan who know me and who have seen these.
