Default Cobb AP Question

Hey everyone, i would have searched, but i really dont know what to seach for so here goes.

I just picked up a Cobb Accessport for my o4 WRX, and i'm not sure which map to flash my ecu with; stage 1 or stage 2. I have a Autospeed cat-back exhuast and a k&N Panel filter, and thats the extent of my performance upgrades. I was only going to use the Stage 1 map, but after looking at cobbs website i noticed that thier stage 2 power package is a turbo back exhaust and AP. That almost what i have so i am wondering if i should use the stage 2 map.
Any Ideas?

You need at least a downpipe for Stage 2. Just do stage 1 for now.

Stage 2 requires at least a downpipe. Which you do not have. Stage 1 is the proper stage for you.

If I were you I would hold off on installing the AP. The newer versions of the AP have issues with stalling on 04 WRXs with manual transmissions (automatics are not affected). Cobb claims to have a found the source of this problem and will be releasing a solution shortly. You can monitor the Cobb AccessPORT forum to find out when this happens:

I believe the bare minimum for Stage 2 is a TBE, which means you would need a DP as well. At this point, it sounds like you would be best off with flashing a Stage 1 map.
