Default STi Clutch/Flywheel Combo

OK, I know that there are lots of people asking the question about which clutch and flywheel combo they should get for their cars. I did a search and I didn't see many results for this question on the STi.

Here's my question. I need a clutch and flywheel combo for an STi that is making 400whp and 400wtq. My stock clutch is holding for now, but I know a guy that is making less power than me and his stock clutch is already gone. He went with an Exedy twin plate clutch and flywheel and loves it. I was wondering what other options are available.

I want as light of a flywheel as possible that won't throw a CEL and I want the clutch to be able to hold this torque with no problems whatsoever. Any thoughts or opinions?

I know your asking about a STi C&Fly. But for what its worth, I got the Exedy organic clutch and Exedy LW fly for my WRX. And now I can't launch to save my life. I'm sure it will get better as I learn it. But 60ft. times with stock clutch and FW were a dream compared to this, unfortunatley they wear out.

Thanks for the reply kingtut12. I just wanted some feedback. I've been thinking about an ACT 6 puck clutch, but I haven't begun to do my research. Was hoping somebody could give me some feedback on the ACT and a light weight flywheel combo.

I just got the exedy hypersingle clutch/flywheel put in my car, great deal from presison NJ 1250 installed. Its a beotch to drive just starting out in 1st gear but ill get used to it. It grabs real hard, but after first it drives like stock. It will def. hold the power goals you have. Ill be throwing down 450whp soon in my sti. hope that helps

i have exedy hyper twin plate on my '02 wrx and love it. had a centerforce dual friction and unorthodox racing flywheel before and they sucked. i just wish i would've bought the light weight exedy flywheel too.

Cool, thanks. I have a 20G also. Which ACT clutch did you get? How much did the flywheel weigh?
