Go to Perry Subaru in Norfolk. Ask for and talk to Wally there. Tell him that Ron sent you and you are a member of the local Subaru club and he will get you the best deal he can.

Langston in Monroeville, PA

A little bit of a trip, but they are real enthusiasists and will cover all warranty work within reason and let you mod your car within reason.

Owner and a few of the guys there AutoX with a crazy WRX. They wrecked it and are now building a 2.5rs with a 2L wrx engine out of old car.

So you can see they are enthusiasts and drive their cars.

Also had a AutoX event 2 times last year with SOA and paid for it.

Only problem is I don't think they have one there, but I am sure they can get you one.

Fitzgerald (fitzmall.com) has excellent prices. Dulles Subaru in Leesburg also has some good prices once you give them the prices you found at fitzmall.com and other places. Dulles also keeps a lot of STis in stock, they were the only dealer in a 200+ mile radius that had a new black STi when i wanted one.

But i also have afriend that works at rk subaru right by perry, but i heard things about them so i fig i rather buy from a good dealership.

edmunds.com is your friend. invoice + delivery is about $30,500 or so.

invoice used to be $30,000 even, but edmunds.com is reporting that invoice is now $30,263. this doesn't include delivery which is $500-$575.

fitzmall.com is listing 3 STis with prices from $30,880 to $31,051 depending on what options are on them. those prices will be hard to beat, but most dealers will match them. if they don't then move on to the next dealer.

well this is what I did:

I got mine from Becker Subaru in Allentown, PA. My salesperson was Mark Wynne. I called them up, asked what they had or what was coming in, picked the one I wanted, gave them a $500 deposit (credit card) over the phone, and then two weeks later, I took the Amtrak from Union Station to Philidelphia and then caught a Bus from Philly to Allentown. The Bus picks you up at the train station in philly and leaves you a block from the dealership in Allentown.

The important part: I paid invoice on a brand new off the truck 2005 STI with 2 miles on it. It is their policy to give no bull**** pricing. Just tell them you heard they sold STI's at invoice and they'll give it to you. Also, the service is excellent (at least in the sales part, i've never dealt with the service department and never will because I live 3 hours away).

It was a truly 5-star experience.

absofugginlutley!

When I got my 2005STI, they had JUST started arriving at dealerships (mine was the 3rd that Becker had seen) and invoice pricing was far harder to find. I have gone into various dealerships around here and they will scarcely give me the time of day... I even went into Farrish and said:

Ok, I got a quote on a 2005 CGM STI for invoice in PA. If you can match it, I'll buy it here.

I guess he thought I was bluffing because he pulled some crap where he answered the phone and chatted for a few minutes with a friend (they were talking about hitting "the links" later) while I sat there waiting for an answer. Then he had the gall to hand me off to another salesman so I had to repeat myself and he just told me "nope we aren't doing invoice pricing cause these will sell at full price plus markup if we want to". Well **** YOU TOO Farrish Subaru. Guess what? I bought my subaru at Becker.

Also, the train only cost $50 and the bus ride was $11. The trip to get there would have taken only 3hours total but i missed the bus in philly (i'm a public-transit-n00b from the countryside) so i had to wait for the next one... but Becker was open late for me.

I can't express how good my buying experience was at Becker. It was just incredible. Perfection in salesmanship.
www.beckersubaru.com (they currently list 2 WRBlue and 1 Obsidian Black in stock)

also, this is the bus line that took me from the philly train station to within a block of the dealership in Allentown: http://www.biebertourways.com/

I got mine for $500 under invoice at Dulles Subaru. The sales people and staff were meh, but I got it local for a good price.
