Default spilled oil in the car

after doing an oil change, got all the oil in the old quart bottles..was going to drop it off at some gas station, i guess 1 of em tipped over..and oil spilled out. i tried to soak up as much oil as i can...then i tried using some carpet cleaner to clean out the carpet.. but there still oil underneath it..how do i get it cleaned out? any other solutions to spray on that eats up oil?

Get under the carpet and clean out the oil. If you have to take the seats out.

Depending on how much oil is still in the car, kitty litter may help (or those oil absorption rags). Probably won't get all of it out, but more than enough to make it less obvious. Just put it on and let it soak for a good while, then vacuum.

Where exactly did the oil spill? (in the footwell?).

I would think you should be able to get them at places like autozone (or similar). Just make sure they are not the normal towels, it should say something on the packaging about "oil absorption". I know I have seen them before, I'll see if I can find the info again.
