Talking Got my projection headlights to day here's the fit test

Got the JDM projection headlights today and decided to try a quick fit of one and the stock headlight.
They're not wired as of yet very soon thought. I had a quick question to the guys that have them what type of resistor do you use?

I thought to put a title of Check out my one eyed monster but I figured the moderator would disaprove.
Heres the pics
Matt

Nice one. Pretty soon people will actually know that you are indicating to turn a corner, and that your sidebulb isn't fcuked up. SOA were cheap bastards when it came to this car.

No I thought it needed a resistor it was the Morette that have them built into the harnes. It was in my back serching I thought I needed one but ya don't.

Heres how tonight went though...
So get one side wired in and such to see if they work wires are all backwards. Finally get them in the correct order after several combinations Come to find out the drivers side projector is blown its 9:40ish and Autozone closes at 9:30. So we get the passanger side hooked up to the drivers side to see if it works and they work great HI beam works for Hight Low for Low. But now I'm right back to where I started with the stockies in and I have to go get more connectors a new bulb and figure out a way to wire up the turn signals becasue there different on the two headlights

Oh and find away around the already spliced in JDM sidemarkers.
Fun all around for tomorrow

let us know how you hook in the city lights too. If you could, a descriptive wire diagram (we always love photos ) would be great!

sounds good!

Well in our attempts to get the other lights working we were able to test the city light they worked and I know which terminal they go to. The goal is to have them come on when the side markers are on.

YES I will take some pics And get a wire diragram up it wasn't that hard at all.
Might not be the pretties thing around but it worked.

Edit: WOO lights are in everything works from the driving lights to the Hi beams which are fricken great they light up the whole damn town
Pics will be later and even though the driving lights work I took them out I didn't like the way they looked they were duller than the silverstars I put in for the projectors and I like having just the projectors.

Plus I made it so I can add my old light stright back in anytime.

/\/\ thats what I was planning on doing as well.

I'm guessing you got the sidemarkers tapped in too?

Your goal is to have the city lights on when the sidemarkers turn on, or the first notch in your headlamp switch (parking lights)? I'm looking to get the city lights to come on when I turn the headlamp switch on the first notch. Don't want them blinking or anything with the directionals.

Very interested to see what and how you've done it. NICE! Don't care if its pretty or not!

Well they come on with the parking lights the first notch and when you click it to the low beams they also stay on. They do not blink they just stay on. When the high beams are put on both the projectors and the city lights turn off.

I'll try and make a diagram soon my cousin who did alot of the wiring took the paper we were using to set them up.
