Default Gold 17x7.5 Rotas on White **pics**

The gold is starting to grow on me(only color available...massive shortage on rotas these days all across the web)...I'll take some better, more professional pics, one of these days...too lazy to take good pics today...on to the pics:

deep dish

For reference, 17x7.5 with 215/45/17 fits fine with no rubbing even lowered.

7.5? 215 is a waste. should be going 225.

lookin good man. well modded BE's are probably one of the rarer cars out there.

I like that combo a lot

And 215s on 7.5 work really well, too.

215's...too small IMO. 225 or 235 looks and handles much better. And there is no way a 215 would rub unless you had a retarded offset wheel. I've had 235's on my lowered wagon and would like to try 245's.

Tora - no argument, I should have said that I run that combo on my car, any bigger on JDMs and the risk of rubbing is high. 215s on a 7.5 come out somwhere around 219/222-ish width depending on the tyre, so not too bad IMHO The slightly stretched walls add a bit to responsiveness in transient manouvering and turn in (although it takes some flex/bump absorbtion out too).

With about 880lbs of humans and sports gear, cornering can get some tyre scrape happening in my car

Cheers

the 215's do come incredibly close to scraping though...I'll check out 225 next time, but I wanted a baseline with the offset/width/suspension to base future tires on...better to be safe than sorry.

I agree. I'm running 225's on 17x7's on a lowered LGT with absolutely no rubbing. I'd venture to say you could fit 235's under there and be fine.

PS - Where did you get your tail lights? I MUST have them!!!

Looks good fibuz. I'm a big fan of white/gold, as i'd had that combination with my 93 Touring Wagon and Prodrive 7s. The Formels in grey with the polished lip is one of the reasons the car caught my attention in the first place.

FWIW, 225s fit very well with no rubbing, ever.

I have '98 white BD and i had to put my spare on which is a gold rim (just what came with car when i bought it) and i was shocked at how good a gold rim looks on a white car. I never thought I would like it but i really do. Looks great man!!!

haha, word! I'm still not satisfied with it, and will be changing it again once it cools off(also tempted to purchase another grill)...its 110 degrees outside in the shade, so no more outside projects till after summer

It needs more black and less color-coded though for sure...I'm still interested in making the subaru emblem 'float' by surrounding it by black versus white.

Looks sweet.

I may end up with Formels eventually. I think they are one of the better looking Rotas out there.

fibuz,

Are your headlights baked, or are they actual JDM? Also, where did you get the tails? Is there a good site I can purchase JDM BE stuff from?
