Default Autometer boost guage install help!!!

can anyone give a detailed description of how to wire up the electronic autometer boost guage to a 97 V3 STI, with pics would be usefull, i have looked all over the site and can only see guides for MY2000+

i also have searched the net and it has been a pain.

Are you in the US? We didn't have that model here in 97. Regardless, hooking up a boost gauge is not difficult, you need a direct manifold connection for the sensor and switched 12V for the power.

no i'm not in the US? oh ok, yeah i know where to put the T peice, i just need to know which wire where behind the dash also i want to know if you can put multiple gauges on the same 12V volt source. if you could help me with where to hook up the inigtion wire, + and - wires, and i think there was another wire too i would be sweet.

oh yeah the last wire was the black ground wire, can you just hook that up anywhere on the chasis and it would be ok.

Geez don't be so impatient, do you really expect an instant response whenever you post?

Anyway I doubt it is the same as a USDM STi, which is a GC chassis MY04-05 vs. your GC chassis MY97. Although there may be similarities the actual wiring is different including important things like wire colors, circuit designations etc. I would suggest that you obtain the wiring diagram for your particular vehicle which will answer all of your questions, alternately you can check in on other forums where they are familiar with your model such as Scoobynet in the UK.

OK, the standard autometer boost gauge has the vacuum fitting and the white/black for the light. The black ground can be put just about anywhere. You should tap into the radio harness ( dash adjustable) lighting for the light ( the white wire on the gauge) . That way it is controlled by the same reostat.
