He apparently doesn't know that it's a flat-6, not a V-6 in the Legacy/Outback. How much would you trust the guy?

Agreed.
Einstein made mistakes and typos too.

Some of his commentary I agree with and alot of it is just common sensical although I wouldn't be so quick to write off the durability of the 2.0l turbo motor due to its "high revving" to gain torque.

I think I've heard of this guy before.
If he's the guy I've heard of for years from residents up this way then his shop is out this way in Granby.

Despite the wonderful optimization of the gutsy 2.5L, market pressures for stronger highway acceleration result in Subie releasing a VERY thirsty V6 in upscale VDC and LL Bean OB variants.

Agreed that a lot of his commentary sounds very well informed, but he sounds like one of those people who become an expert in one aspect of a field and then abuse that expertise to make completely unfounded assertions about other aspects of the field. He apparently just has a hard-on for the Phase II 2.5L and pooh-poohs anything else.

And I could forgive him referring to an H6 as a V6 once, but not consistently. I also question his assertions about synthetic oil being a requirement for long life in turbo engines, among other things.

He prefers a chipped twin turbo Audi S4 over a STi. It's obvious he's never owned one. Every B5 S4 owner I know has a lot of mechanical problems, aka, expensive maintenance bills.

He seems knowledgeable, if not extremely opinionated. His prices for his cars suck though.
