SPT exhaust combined with the Invidia cated downpipe makes for the classic Boxer rumble:

There are only about 300 made and were 1800 new. I got mine for much less only by chance. It has a dent on the top but when installed you cannot see it. Well worth it.

Back in action! Finally got around to ordering a new motor after the old one died.

The original motor "protection" was complete garbage and split from the heat. It was very poorly designed, but the new case is much more protective. Hoping this one will last longer.

Old motor vs. new motor:

And then here is an old reference photo so you can see when I mounted the cut-out:

I really like how the tips look here and follow the line of the bumper

Fitment is killer on this thing

New to the soob world (and loving it!) Mine came with aftermarket exhaust so I thought I would share. I have searched a bunch and not seen this one on many other cars. Love the sound! Not too rumbly and throaty like some subbies can get, but better than stock. nice rumble and smooth IMO. I tried to shine them up a bit, but let me know what you think.

ok, i have an exhaust question. My ca is a 98 rs, with a full 02 wrx ej205 swap. Engine mods are:
VF23 turbo
STi 565cc Injectors
Perrin Short Ram Intake
STi Header and catless up pipe
HKS Hi-Power Downpipe (catless 3" flate plate design)
Espelier JGT 500 Catback (totaly straight thru)

My car is catless, and has a larger turbo than the stock td04, my issue is, it doesnt seem to have a really throaty rumble. my friend has a totaly stock 04 wrx with just a turboXS tbe, and he rumbles alot more than I do. Ive spent alot of time and money to get my car to rumble, and people hear it and think its the stock NA with a can on it. Turbo whistles loudly, but not a lot of rumble... any ideas why? could it be the turbo? or maybe the flat plate DP? the opening in the DP is larger than the exhaust turbine, so i wouldnt think thatd matter...

Heres a (bad) driveby vid i did of it, the day i put the DP and intake on. has a slight leak where the DP meets the catback, but not bad, even fixed that sounds the same. sounds much better in the vid than in real life. in the car it sounds like NA really...

Sounds like a good suby rumble to me.
If it's not a really deep sounding rumble in person it could just be that you are darn near straight piped. Certain mufflers and resonators will bring out the rumble more.

I did away with the rumble and honestly do not miss it. The engine sounds like it is spinning faster now. Sorry, only an in-car vid for now.
