Default Anyone using LED turn signal bulbs...

I've seen them on the internet. They are 100 times faster than incandecent light so the look to turn off and on instantly. The Caddilac Seville and Mercedes S have them and they look cool. They come in amber, red and white.

I havent tried the turn signal led's, but I tried a set of the brake led's and they will mess up the cruise control system so don't mess with them. My cruise quit working and I took my RS in for service and the tech couldn't find a reason for the problem. I mentioned the bulb change to led's and he said "remove them and put the original bulb back in and I'll betcha your cruise will work again". He was right, so don't mess with those bulbs. They don't suit a subaru's electrical system.

I saw those at Pep Boys, they are larger than regular round bulbs, how do they fit through the housing hole for my tailights??

Default Cruise

The LED lights will mess up your cruise control because your cruise constantly monitors your brake lights to sense when to turn off. As a safety precaution, the cruise won't turn on if you have a brake light burnt out, and the CC unit sees LEDs differently than normal light bulbs, and thinks they're burnt out.

these work fine as turn signal indicators. Nopi.com sells red ones only, and ledtronics.com has lots o colors, but is more expensive.

If you drive from Portland to LA (24hours going 80 with stops), you'll thank God for cruise control.

When you drive 200 miles on a road trip down an expressway, the fun kinda gets taken out of the driving and it comes in handy....duh:monkey:

give into technology, have you ever heard to use your tools wisely, this also goes for GPS, which actually can be a life-saver

hey guys...i tried a few different types along time ago after i got my new sti tails...the taillight housing gives the bulb a slight angle..this angle doesn't let the LED light go straight back to the opposing car and makes the stock taillights look like high beams...stay away from the LED's until someone makes euro tails for us..they just aren't bright enough through our stock or jdm sti tails...i wasted 35 bucks on this experiment so you don't have to..
