Default 95 legacy swap

i'm looking to swap out my motor for either a 2.0 or a 2.5 dohc. i can go a few routes with this and i was hoping i could get as much input as i can before i actualy invest in this idea.

1. i can go to the dealership and get parts for a jdm motor? or even use the internals which cobb sells on the motor?

2. If i was to get a 2002 forester motor sohc. can i just put on sti heads so it becomes a dohc?

3. If i was to change out the auto tranny for a 5 or 6 speend trany can i still use the drive shaft and rear diff i have now?

4. If i were to put a wrx subframe on my car, i'll be able to put the sti a arms. i was told that i need to either shave off the bushing or put on a wrx subframe. will this make the wheel base in the front shorter then before or will it stay the same..
