Default North Shore Caravan to WBM on 06/11/05

It seems as though there is enough of un on the North Shore to merit a caravan to the WBM. Who is interested and what's a suitable location to meet. I figured we could meet at the Liberty Tree Mall around 9:30 am on the 11th but I'm open to suggestions. Who's interested and what are the thoughts on the meeting point?

why don't we just meet at TMS' house...as usual

I'm up for a caravan, so long as nobody tries to show how fast they are and drive like an a-hole.

I was only kidding. How about meeting up at a Dunkin Donuts in Beverly...since we'll likely all want to go there anyway?

Just a reminder.

Caravan rules.

I know it won't be an issue with you guys especially with who you've got in your group.

Word, thanks for posting that. Pete, can you link this in the sticky thread, too?

As for FRS radios, I have two Talkabouts, so if someone else needs to borrow one for the ride over, they can borrow mine.

I just said "a" Dunks. There are seven on them in Beverly

I think the best one to meet at would be on 1A right near downtown... Or better yet, the Dunk's right in front of the Liberty Tree mall in Danvers...that has a decent sized parking lot.

there should probably be two groups then - I doubt there will be enough breaks in traffic to get all cars onto Endicott and then pull a u-turn to get onto 128S.

I have 2 talkabouts ready to go with fresh batteries

I vote for the Dunks by liberty tree as well GREAT location in case anyone else wants to hook up with us.

As far as getting onto 128S, its a big highway, it wont be hard to get back in line a mile down the road, all you need is 2 cars, they slowly separate enough to let in another, that's 3, then one drops back enough to let a 4th in, and so on.
If we maintain a reasonable 65ish pace, it wouldnt be unsafe to keep a 2-3 car interval which keeps the minivans out of the caravan. Its only going to be what, like 5 cars max most likely anyway.

Is there a BIG caravan for all the mini caravans to hook up with?

what the hell are you talking about? It'll be fine. IT's a Saturday morning for one, two, it's not like there are 20 of us. Third...once we all get on the highway, we can make sure to get together, anyway

It's settled, the Dunkin Donuts on Endicott St. in Danvers in front of the Liberty Tree Mall on Saturday, June 11th @ 9:30am. If I'm not mistaken, the easiest way to get to 495 from there would be Route 114.

I think it may be quicker, however, to just hit 128 S to 95 N, then to 495 S... Or even 114, to 1, to 495
