Default Ad for '04 Sti in E-town - Cheap!

Anybody notice the ad in the Edmonton Journal for an '04 WRB Sti with 22,000Km for $33K? That's gotta be a misprint right? If not that depreciation is harsh.

KBB puts the price at $31K - $33K. Talk about getting bent over.

I almost had a 2004 Z06 last month with 7000k for 45k. Just couldn't do the mullet.

I hope mine drops to 20k soon. Will stop people buying new ones and in 10 years it will be valuable and rare. Drop in the factory H6 turbo and fuel at $20 litre Yahoo

I wondering if anything is wrong with it?

After seeing a couple of ads like that. I'm almost tempted to trade in my GM6 for a STi . I need boost badly.
But then again. I love the GC8 styling. And I can always swap a EJ20 later. So I think I'll keep my RS. Sorry guys she's not going on for sale

Does anyone know what a dealer would pay for an 05 STi now?

I am wanting to trade the 04 WRX (50K Km) for a used 05 STi...

Someone should phone and see if the car has been a write off before and has been rebuilt.

I doubt a dealer would ever admit it. They're all almost as bad as organized crime.

STi's usually seem to be around 40K (or more than the new price for the truly insane sellers) on www.canadatrader.com. I wonder what they actually sell for?

Default Caveat Emptor

I had a discussion with someone the other day about a younger fellow who has/had an STi. Drove the crap out of it, loosing oil through the turbo, was a complete a-hole about it, got new motor, still smoking, getting rid of it.

Might be this car.

You may want to reconsider buying something so obviously devalued, as you may get what you pay for.

I would think any STi worth buying would cost more money than this.

My 2 cents.

Very True, I forgot about the evils of used cars. Another reason why I paid PREMIUM for a NEW STI. I know how every second of its life has been so far and how it has been driven and where.

Just to let you know if an autorized dealer (at least in BC) doesn't declare that the car had be rebulit you can legally turn it back.

Markus and Aaron from NP bought gently used 04s you should PM them - although I suspect the number is sub-40K these days not including mods of course. We all know how that goes over.

Just so you can see the variability of pricing, a black '05 in the Autotrader this past weekend was advertised for $51k+ claiming $10k "invested" into the car.

Although I am encouraged to see a higher price for that car, I can't help but thinking the owner is reaching asking that much.
