Default Touchup paint for rock chips

I have some small dings on the front of my hood, as i'm sure we all do, and i want to touch them up. I heard from a friend that the paint he got from the subaru dealship was a horrible match to the WRB color. Anyone have any experience with this? Will the dealer provide me with the best match possible?

the touch up paint i got from the dealer for my MBP was a perfect match, but i used it very sparingly, in larger applications it may be more noticiable. one thing to consider is that touch up paint like that often is a mixture of clear coat and paint and that may effect the look

do they give you a nice small touchup bottle with a brush in the cap? or is it a can full? What's it cost?

It's a small bottle with a brush and cap, like what you'd find at Autozone. Costs about $4 or $5 IIRC.

You can also buy touch up paint on-line. Here's one popular source: http://www.paintscratch.com/
