Default Where's the best place to tap H20 temp sensor?

Where is the best place to tap into for the water temp probe? In case it matters, this is for a new Defi BF water temp guage. Oh yea, '05 STi.

Did a search...didn't find specific enough info. I'll look some more, but any input is appreciated.

Not sure where that is. If yuou are talking about the factory option heater, yah, I'll never use it. Could you give me more info on what I'm looking for and where it is?

You want to look for the freeze plug on the engine block, check out a block heater install guide for guidance:

Hmm, I am unsure if I can use that as the probe thread is pretty small...maybe 1/8 inch diameter (I think its the "1/8 NPT" I read about all the time but dont actually know how big it is). At the very least, thx for the insight.

Alright, it seems that another possible good location is in the tube that brings H20 out of the engine. When looking into the engine bay, is the tube that goes into the top of the passenger side of the radiator the 'exit engine into radiator' tube? Apparently I can get a "T" for it...maybe I should get a silicone hose while I'm at it :/
