Being that the Baja is a creation of SOA, its a US thing. I don't really think that Canada has anything Baja related that the US does not have.

I think that someone around here found that it was being sold in someplace near brazil. But my memory is fuzzy. They probally only had it for a year only.

I heard, im pretty sure from a post on this forum a lil while back, that subaru was going to export the baja to japan because they found unexpected interest from doing car shows or something.

As far as I know the Baja (made in Indiana) is only sold in the U.S. Canada, Puerto Rico, and a few places in South America like Chile. It would not make any sense for them to ship any overseas at this point with it being cancled after 2006. Unless for some reason they decided to make them in Japan.

That pic came from a series form the Subaru Poland site. If you look closer you will realize that it is not offered as a model. Also, if you look at the rear shots of that same car, it has tack on rear reflectors and a cheap added on rear fog to be street legal. The license plate also doesnt fit with the cool fold down frame. My guess is it was probably just one they imported and modified a bit.

So you said the BAJA was MADE IN INDIA........ Well as you can see that BAJA also has either E-Codes or J-spec headlights. I would say J-spec. Also its missing the side turn signals that europeans use so much and all euro cars have those. The Baja was indeed designed by SOA only to be used in the USA.

INDIA+NA= Indiana

I noticed those headlights as well but those are the headlights that all European and JDM Legacys got, direct bolt on so I figured they were changed. I actually saw a picture on a Japaneese website of a Baja that had the sidemarker lights on the fenders... But it was still left hand drive

AHHHHH Ok I get it now...

PS. E-codes are different than J-spec when it comes to lighting pattern....
If you look at the headlights in the Forester since they are built in Japan and sold in Europe, they come with E-codes from the factory, since the USA is adapting to the E-codes nowadays.... I know what the E-code light Patern is because I have E-codes in my 1992 VW passat (Hella DE smoked directly from Alemania)

I am also wondering if the mirrors from a 2005 Legacy will fit a BAJA.... I like the side marker on those. I might have to do some research...

Yeah, I know the lighting pattern is different, But both of them use the same basic headlight assembly (and dont have the ugly yellow corner lens). I really can't tell which ones they are from seeing and exterior pic as they look the same from the outside. Thats all I meant when i said they are the same, I guess I should have been more clear.
