Default Need help with this general tranny ?

I'm hoping someone will be able to help me with this very, very general question. I have an 05 STi and I'm wondering if the clutch is hydraulic? I checked the manual and Subaru.com with no luck. I'm hoping someone out there will have quick answer for me. I will be on the site for about the next 30 min, or please pm me.

Thanks for the help.
Rick

Yes, all late model Subaru clutches are hydraulic. You can see for yourself by looking under the hood, there is a separate reservoir for the clutch fluid sitting atop the clutch master cylinder. Follow the line that comes out of there, it goes down to the slave cylinder at the transmission.
Your owners manual contains information on checking and filling the clutch fluid, and shows the location of the reservoir.

Default Thanks

Thanks for the quick reply. I just had a chance to look at it now. But I thought that it was a hydraulic clutch. In general, everyone is really great on the site.

Thanks again,
Rick
