Default Defi bf gauges installed with technical problems

My Defi Bf gauges was installed today (Boost, EGT, Oil pressure). I used the oil gallery plug for the oil pressure gauge. The EGT was tapped at the collector.

Now the problem starts, first my cruise light started to flash. I went through a car wash and when I started the engine it was gone. Later on the drive it came back on. I would think that when itís cold it will go away. Then my check engine light is on. I checked the oil level and it was fine. Then while outside I noticed that my park light is also on.

Can anyone give me advise on where to check first. My car is an 05 STi.

The parking light being on is this-

As for the check engine light and flashing cruise light, this means that a trouble code has been stored in the ECU. Go to Autozone and get the code read (they do it free), or find someone local to you with a scanner. Once you have the numerical code post it here and we can better figure out what the problem is. You apparently messed something up while doing the gauge install and the code may help to find out what it is. In the meantime you can check under the hood for any disconnected wires or hoses.
And BTW this would not have anything to do with oil level, low oil will not trigger a CEL or any other warning from the ECU as there is no oil level monitor aside from the plain old dipstick.

I knew that parking light switch
I'll check the code tomorrow. Thanks a lot. Now I got the gauges installed. I still don't know what the readings should be for stock. Next move will be to open the manual to avoid another embarrassment issue like the parking light switch

Code 1153

It started with a flashing cruise light until I drive for a while or w00t then the check engine light will come on. My car is completely stock. I was thinking of loading my Accessport to see if it's going to fix code.

Where do I begin

P1153
H02S Insufficient Switching Bank 2 Sensor 1

No idea what that means. I would assume it has something to do with what wires you tapped for the gauges install. Can you walk us through exactly where you tapped?

Actually the P1153 is for 02 sensor performance high meaning the ecm is not seeing the o2 sensor switching for some reason. Now i dont think there was a reasson for u to tapped on the 02 sensor wiring. Now Sti's use what is called a lambda sensor so when the ecm sees a value >1 means lean and <1 means rich different from o2 sensors when over 450mv means rich and bellow 450mv means lean. What i think is that u left a vacuum hose unplugged while u were installing the boost gauge or maybe u have a leak at the EGT probe , that would cause a lean reading for the sensor due to the ammount of extra oxygen in the exhaust stream. Let me know what did u find.

Good luck
