Default Question: Is this worth considering?

We were just eating dinner and saw a commercial for Match.com. Some of hyou knw that I visited the site recently due to a drama with a friend and honestly I thought the bios were poorly stated, misspeeeled, grammar nightmares, and in general, sad attempts at selling oneself.

However, I know the site has had some success for some ppl. So, I can see where it, and others like it, have a valuable place in the world.

But what if the bio were treated as seriously as a resume for a job? And what if the ppl who wanted to put themselves there had somebody they could hire to help them write their bios in order to maximize their mating potential? And what if the fee was reasonable and nominal and the person helping them had a Masters in Social Work?

Would ppl pay for that?

Need a job much?

I swore I read something about a service similar to this not long ago...but I can't remember where. It was along the same lines - helping people make online dating profiles, posting good pics, etc. I would guess there is a market for it, as there is for rich people who don't have time/willingness to go out and date and have people set it up for them (see crap like that all the time on TV).
Would people pay for it? Probably. Would they even know about it/that it was offered and would help? Dubious.

Sure. But how would you feel explaining that to the person you met and fell in love with...that you basically had a professional help make you appear more attractive to them and all your initial interactions were based upon a carefully constructed lie?

Wait...I guess that's the same as meeting people in real life.

Go for it.

Probably...what won't people pay for these days?

Candyo should go independent.

Isn't that what Monster.com is for? That's basically what employers do; they look at all the prospective candidates and pick them based on their search criteria.

If you're such a waste of space that you can't properly type up your bio, I want to know that.

Don't help the monkeys.

If you start editing people's bios, you might as well replace their pictures with more attractive ones too.

Would you be naked while offering this help? Cause, personally I find more value in breastases than in high-falutin' college degrees.

It would be for online dating, not a job, jcholak.

Methinks your biggest problem(s) would be advertising said service and dealing with uber-nerds (Who? Me? =P ) who need a date and yet send you pictures of their nude, overweight reflection in a teapot, a la that fat eBayer.

It wouldn't be a lie. It would be a more eloquent and persuasive version of the truth. Truly, there are a LOT of intelligent ppl who just don't have those skills, so i'm not so sure the reality would be that disappointing when meeting someone.

A lot of those profiles say crap like "I don't know what to type here..." or "Just doing this for fun..." so something like this would help.
As I mentioned, I know I've seen something about a service like this before, so someone else thought it a good idea as well.

ppl do that already. For example, one guy had this pic for his bio. I had to give him props for a sense of humor.

PS. James Brown is from SC, so that makes it even better.

I have several thoughts on the matter. Please send pictures (nekked) and I'll write you a business plan. The pictures aren't for the plan, they are for me.
