Default Purge Control Solenoid Valve??

I have a 92 legacy 2.2L NA. I did a self diagnostic test and it pulled up code 35 purge control solenoid valve. I searched this forum and found a bunch of info on the location of it. They say it is on the passenger side under the intake runner. I have searched all over and i still can't find it. I have followed the tubes running from the charcol canister and it appears that they just go all the way into the fuel filter on the other side. Has anyone ever changed a PCSV? Do you have to take off the alternator or the intake manifold? Aslo I have read that it looks like a brown disc the size of a silver dollar. I can't find it for the life of me. Does anyone have any pics. Any help would be great. I feel dumb for not being able to find the thing when i have read exactly where it is??

Thanks,

Adam.

very common on legacy's under the right side of the intake manifold, kind of a pain to get to but not to bad if you clear some stuff out of your way like the air intake tube, just need a 1/4 extention and swivel and you'll be all set, its just one bolt holding it in

I changed mine, in the middle of winter while it was snowing outside, ahah.

Hi,

How did you turn the CEL off after replacing the solenoid? Did you have to use a scan tool or did disconnecting the battery work? My local dealers says that disconnecting a battery would not work. Are they right? Or are they trying to make $50-75 from me?
