Question Greddy Guages and Controller Shut off periodically

ok, so i have a set of greddy guages, Boost, EGT, & Fuel Pressure along with a Greddy Profec B controller. It seems that whenever i run my heater for a while they shut off, and the same if it sits in the sun for a while. im thinking that the heat may be causing too much rsistance in the circuit. has anyone had this problem before? do you think it could be because of the heat/resistance in the wires?
Thanks

First of all, when you installed the gauges where did you ground the wires? Second of all, I pretty sure that you are not getting thermal runaway through a wire. Thermal runaway usually has to do with an amplified circuit where the Q point is set either at cutoff, or saturation. Changes in the temperature can move the Q point up or down the load line which causes heavy distortion, and fries the circuit, so i dont think that is your problem. Let me know where you grounded your wires because as of now, i am thinking that is your problem.

The thing that really confuses me is that they will light up and everything, except for the boost controller, but no guage movement? does that help the diagnosis?

Same thing happened to my Greddy boost guage (electronic, non PHW). It lights up, but the guage doesn't move. Has anyone tried opening the sender unit?

Replacement boost sensors run for about $60 for the electronic gauge and $120 for the PHW guage. I noticed the greddy and defi look similar and could be interchangeable. I wonder if the actual senser inside the sender unit is replaceable.
