Default STI exhaust manifold and wrx manifold

I wasn't sure if this was the bet place to post this, but I am buying a set of gauges from another member here. He has a wrx and his exhaust manifold is tapped and ready for his EGT sensor, he just found a replacement and offered me the tapped manifold at a price I can't resist, would I be able to bolt it right now? are there any differences between the 04 STI drivers side manifold and the wrx's? Thanks

the wrx manifold will not work on the STi.

I have just tried this 2 weeks ago.

The location of the cat (if it is in fact a cat...it's a bulge in the middle of the header where it passes the oil filter) in the middle of the header is in a different position than where it is in the wrx header.

The WRX header will hit the oil filter on the STi and therefore NOT fit. I took my borla header off my STi and was given a stock WRX header.....tried it and NO GO.

Bottom line is get an STi header and tap it or simply tap your STi header.
