Default Metallic Engine/Transmission Rattle

when you've got rattling at certain rpm's but not others the first place i would look is along the exhaust cause that is where most of the rattling would take place. Noteably, the heatshields. I just had mine removed for the same reason. Sounds like a kitten again instead of an elderly man who smoked too much.

Yep, eliminate them first. The heatshields have an internal and external clamp. The internal clamps tend to break and allow the shilds to rattle against the broken clamps or pipes.
