Default Hacking the 1.8 ecu after the 2.5 swap

Anyone know a place that can work some magic on a 93' 1.8 ECU?
I swapped in a 2001 2.5, and I was wondering if anything could be done for it...perhaps bumping up the redline?

I think your best bet would be a standalone ECU ala Link.

most likely need a standalone ecu, im swappin from 2.2 ---> 2.5 in september, im gathering parts (aftermarket etc) right now. I will most likely get a hydra or Link+ if the budget calls for it, if not id get it w/in the yr.

You can try to look up the UK or Aussie folks who have been hacking ECUs long before USA has. Yoshio told us he doesn't work with pre99 ECUs.

If you find anything...let me know!

Al at Torque Chip was the one hacking the 1.8l ECU's. Unfortunately, he got out of the game and left the country. There are still a few units floating around, but they are hard to find...

Link ECUs are not capable of raising the redline.

I have an alternative to a $1200 Link standalone.

RalliTEK PerfectPower! $459 shipped for the whole Tuner Kit. This is full laptop programmable EM. Can not raise redline though.

Lots of info at www.rallitek.net

Here is a pic:

Tuner Kit Sale is listed under 'Specials' at www.RalliTEK.com
