Default So, does anyone actually...

... own a Tribeca?

I see all these threads talking about them, but have yet to see a member posting pics of theirs in their driveway...

I'm sort of curious how they are selling - I haven't seen any on the road, but then they have only been out for a month or so.

True, but you'd think if a member here bought one, they'd be posting a pic here ASAP. At least I would have...

I've seen a few in the DC area when going to/from work, though I've noticed that they do have striking similarities with the Nissan Murano.

Yup, I have one...

Whats funny is some of the people who rag on the tribeca w/o even driving one. Or the understanding that its not a STI with a 3rd row of seats.

Yeah. So, is it roomy enought to fit all your needs? Did you get the 5 or seven pass?

5passenger... and honestly the cargo area is no bigger than the Legacy...

but more room in the 2nd row by FAR and about the same room in the 1st row. sliding/tilt rear seats are sweet. Pimp stereo, etc.

basicly its alot more "grown up" than the LGT which can be a bit "punkish" at times.

Yes, they have been out for several weeks now. I think all configurations are out, but the 7 pass w DVD and nav is really rare right now. Also the base models are rare. There is about 8 million 5 pass limiteds avalible.

I believe so, my girlfriend drove me to the dealership to pick up my car today and she was like "where should I park?" and I was like "park right there, right next to the...TRIBECA!" I cant decide if I like them yet, but I was just happy to finally see one in person, although I was in a bad mood cause of a bad phone conversation with the service department, so I didnt go look at it, and when I got out of the service department they had been moved. I dont know if they are actually being sold yet though...do cars always come out on the same day..ya know, like CDs and movies? just a though, I've never really paid attention

Cool.

I would really like to go and test drive one. Although, the Forester might get jealous.

I sat in one at the WBSM 05'...I was very comfortable....I would honestly say that a 7 passenger is pushing the limit of staying somewhat comfortable....there growing on me...just gotta do something different with the front grill....

My girlfriend and I bought one on Saturday along with a 05 LGT. The Tribeca is pretty sweet. She wanted the 7 passenger with NAV. I took it yesterday for the day and it is quite capable. I love the road presence.

It obviously isnt going to be a performance machine but it is a blast to drive and is very well planted to the road. Plus, the looks we get in it are priceless.

Default recently purchased a 7seater limited w/Nav

Hello all, girlfriend recently purchased a B9 limited 7seater with Nav. At first, we were a bit skeptical of the looks, but the car looks much better in person than in ads. It was actually attractive enough for use to purchase. It also handles very well for an suv. Definitely a subaru flag ship vehicle. Luxury features and comfort are a big bang for buck compared to other vehicles in the same price range (murano, lexus rx330, fx35). Despite what some reviews have said about the 2nd row not having enough leg room, its very roomy. The 2nd row slides back when the 3rd row is not being used. Also, 3rd row seating is just for short trips and not meant to transport 6th & 7th passengers for long periods of time unless they are child sized. The Nav system is top notch. Shows all "points-of-interests" like restaurants, atms, shopping centers, etc. It can even do reverse phone number look-ups to find addresses. The coolest thing about it the nav is that it guides you to a destination point by verbally telling you what turn to take, and how far you have left to go. Despite some reviews of the B9 looking like an aztec or pacifica, i would highly recommend someone interested in a progressive suv to test drive one and draw their own conclusions.

It's so funny how everyone is complaining about the third row. How many times do you pile more than 3 plus yourself into your car and go to lunch or dinner. The third row is primarly designed for kid sized people not full grown adults. Hell for that matter, when is the last time you piled 6-7 into a minivan, you aint' talking alot of room, and you surely don't put the older people in the back. Get a grip, this car isn't huge but it fits more that the Legacy and Outback and thats what they needed.

My wife and I test drove one this weekend. We both loved it. The outside styling is something that takes getting used to, but the inside is perfect. I was amazed that there must have been 10 other couple there test driving Tribeca's. Anyone know how well they are selling. We are serious about getting one in the next few months.
