Default What N/A 4-Bangers are faster than our WRX's?

1) what stock cars can do this?

2) how much modding would you need to do this?

S2000 and although not necessarily stock swapped civic hatches (mostly ls or gsr motors) can keep up with a lot.

its true, my friends hatch is pretty close with STi's.

My civic can keep up with a wrx, if that matters much

Under what conditions? Depending on what you're doing an E30 M3 might be faster.

any n/a four banger is faster then our cars if they are either a)light enough overall(aka: 200lbs with a 50 hp motor) b) you throw enough money into it. That answers your question entirely.

Define "faster". Ultimate top speed? Acceleration (i.e. 0-60mph, quarter-mile etc. etc.)? Fastest round a dry track? Rally course?

I tend to define "fast" as the fastest around a typical track on ideal conditions (i.e. dry without extremely hot/cold conditions). In which case these cars would either match or trounce the WRX senseless:
- Honda S2000
- Honda Integra Type-R
- Honda Civic Type-R
- Lotus Elise
- Lotus Exige
- Ariel Atom (all/any version)
- Caterham (all/any version)
- BMW E30 M3
- Probably some other obscure/specialist UK specialist manufacturers

"Fastest" refers to top speed. "Quickest" refers to acceleration.

"n00b" refers to the original poster.

Mind you, you could remove the stupercharger and it'd still pound a rex.

Why are you concerned about NA 4s being faster then a turbo 4?

because if a car is faster than the one they're making payments on, n00b WRX owners go into a **** fit?
