I am considering a swap for my 97L. I have done a bunch of searching and from what I have found I have 3 N/A options.
1. EJ22 w/ EJ18 heads 2. EJ25 w/ EJ22 heads 3. ej25 swap. From what I have been able to find on the forums the Frank motors are plug and play. I am confused on the EJ25 though. Which ones are plug and play. From what I was able to locate, the Phase I motor should be plug and play. Assuming that the complete EJ25 can be plug and play, which one do people recommend. This car is my daily driver, and I would like to keep all the creature comforts that it already has (A/C and cruise control). All opinions and tios would be very much appreciated, and any help locating a donor engine in AZ would also be very much appreciated. Thanks, Chris

that sounds great but generally swaps go in the conversion forum...
nevertheless, my two cents are that the EJ25 is a GREAT daily driver motor, with enough torque to make it functional as a sporty car for autox or other applications. |

If the mods want to they can move it to the correct forum. I am leaning towards the straight EJ25 swap because of driveability and the crap gas we get in AZ, I just need a definitive answer to which donor car to get the engine from for it to be a basic plug and play swap.

for a 97 L, i'd say go for a EJ22, it'll be the most plugnplay
