Default 8cm stock location turbo's and turbo inlet pipe size?

Would a stock location 8cm turbo require a 3in inlet pipe or can I use the 2.25? size.....basically old perrin style or require the new style?

In a nutshell to answer your question, you will need to figure out what compressor housing will be used on your application and go from there as it has nothing to do with the 8cm^2 turbine housing (rear housing).

basically I'm going to be going with a fatboy internally gated sz-55...in the next few weeks I think Jerry will be making some with a 8cm inlet....

Again it's not an 8cm inlet.... the 8cm^2 referes to the turbine housing which is the rear housing on a turbo where the downpipe bolts up to. Furthermore, for your own reference the "Fatboy" wheel refers to the turbine wheel which is inside the turbine housing (8cm^2).

Back on topic, the inlet attaches to the compressor housing in which I believe Jerry uses an TD06 20G compressor housing on the SZ55. With that said, the "normal" style Perrin turbo inlet pipe (2.25") should fit without a problem.
