Default Meyers Manx with WRX engine...

Could be WTLW.......I dunno.

But I always liked the Meyers Manx dune buggy....and now it is apparently available with the WRX motor. With 250 hp that thing has got to haul. Hmmmm, a little tuning or the STi drivetrain..............

Yeah, they have LS1s, Honda VTEC, standard 1641 bug engines, Scooby motors, sport bike motors...anything. You can put any motor you want, but you either need an adaptor plate to a Type 1 or similar tranny, or a custom one like a Mendola.

My MAP R200 car currently has a Mazda 12A rotary motor...and we are thinking of putting a EJ20/25T in our next MAP.

Not a bad looking buggy Mark. How much travel?

I spend a lot of time in Glamis. Have been in the Silver/blue buggy I posted and in a sister to the Monster car.

A friend has a triple roter car putting out in excess of 900bhp

Im not certain, but estimating probably around a foot of travel. Just bought some spindles, and it raised the front of the car alot. Now the wheel gap matches the back.
The car is not ment for sand dunes. It was built along the lines of a rally car, to have fun on anything surface especially gravel roads.

Cool.

That is about what Standard Travel buggies have. The dune just fine. My wife has a bad back, so I will be building a long travel one of these days.

You also did a write up on a KB knock off shifter. Not cool.

There have been a few other posts about the use of Subaru engines in other vehicles. Planes, and boat cars namely.
