Default Results HRP June 17th

Last night I took my last 5 gallons of 104 and headed to the track with a house pass @ 6:00pm, went to Randall's and bought the dry ice for 3 passes. At about I-10 and the beltway close to HRP I was about 10 minutes in to my yellow gas light and pulled over to put the 104 in on the side of the road. I got to the track, went to tech and threw everything on the ground, tweaked my back bad, (stupid bass tube). 15 minutes to get ready and 15 more to get to the line and that was just right for the TMIC to freeze over. I opened up the cut out and staged next to a Red SS Camaro with spray. He must have hit the purge valve 8 times, nice show, total waste before he got the 2nd yellow lit. It was interesting when he purged, it looked like the mist was lit up red.

I launched at 4500 with and the car jumped out, ran the gears and pulled 4th fast. It was the hardest I have ever driven the car. I was 3 or 4 links in front of the SS enough to catch him in my side mirrior.

right lane
reaction .170
60ft 1.711
5.098
1/8th 7.768
mph 92.08
10.190
1/4 mile 12.219
116.02 mph

It was my only run of the night but what a run. It is better running with friends as I had no one to tell afterwards. I thought I saw Be@st as I was driving out.
If you had the white Sti, say hello and saw 2 other WRX's one parked 1 staged.
I limped around a bit and loaded the car gased up and was home by 9:00pm Darvocet in by 9:00.001pm That is a reaction time.
Only new mod to the car...Prodrive Floor Mats
The car felt much faster on a pure 104 map than last time with a some 93 in the mix.
Jared at PDX did a great job.

Scott

EuuuuuWEEEEE that's a nice run on 104 with a VF30!!!!
115 is enough for a 11.99 run, but I think the long 4th gear you car has made that 11 impossible on that one run. Everything looks perfect. 1.6's are doable, 1.71 is excellent in my book. 92 in the 1/8?!! that's movin'!!

must resist race gas and removing muffler....but it's so tempting.

4th was pulling hard but it is very long, I think I can go quicker but I think I have maxed out on mph. The 1.71 is the 3rd time I have hit it. I think Beast hit a 1.6 something. I'm happy and glad she survived the thrashing. I was in race mode all yesterday and just decieded to go and do it last night. I think in cold air temps and better suspension I could run better, the car was really lifting up in 1st and 2nd and this morning out and about on map 3 50/50 mix.
I hate the cut-out for daily driving. It leaks and is to loud.

sorry bro that wasnt me I would have made sure to post up if I were ging out to the track.

unfortunately im not going to be making any track passes anymore with a stock clutch I will do freeway runs but no track passes the stock STi tranny CAN NOT hold up to a driver pulling 1.61 60' and the tripple cone syncros dont like my fast shifting I think that if I put in a short shifter I would be able to remeady the problem but what do I know im just a driver.

great times scott congrats.
if you want to see what she is capable of aginst others get ahold of me and I can clue you in to some spots that we hang out at on the weekend and some times on wednsdays.

I had a few trucks parked around me? Did you see the white Sti? I wish they would show times, I think it's a stupid deal to not show anything but a lane winner. Did you catch the camaro with the LED purge valve? I bet he sprayed more for the girls than he did on the track. Did you run?

Everything is still the same:Vf30 reworked, Hypercooler, Sti injectors, AEM intake short, grounding kit, TurboXS up and 4" down pipe, 3" out to Stromung exhaust. UTEC tuned well. Mapping switches, best part of the car, touch of the button gets you to a new map. If you have a UTEC you should have one of these. Boost controller, Royal Purple everything. New Iridium* plugs 2 degrees cooler, Again the frozen TMIC makes power. QTP cut-out, fast hands and feet and lots of practice.
Light weight rims help as well.
I'm sure I'm missing something but this is close.

*spelling????
