I got a reply from him yesterday. The adapters he sells are salty, so be forewarned.

what's salty?

sadly, I work 120 days a year on the road, so patience is required in trying to contact me. I've not died, or dropped off the earth, but I could be in the middle of the Atlantic on a buoy, or in a lighthouse on the Great Lakes, or way up north on an island in the Arctic...

How come no one knows what the term "salty" means? I ment that for what it seems to be (2 connectors and some wire running straight between them), that the price seems a little high. I know that he is just trying to recover what he paid for them.

You can buy the male and female H1 connectors (maybe even the HID side as well) seperatly for $5 each at http://www.suvlights.com. They are listed at the very bottom of the page when you click on "Harnesses". Then you could wire your own relays if you wanted to.

Sadly, the suvlights.com connectors aren't what Subaru uses. I bought their H1 plugs, and sadly it doesn't work with the bugeye or the peanuteye H1 plugs. The HIDs - well, McCullough uses one style, Philips uses one style, Subaru uses 3 styles.

You can do whatever you want to hook your lights up anyway you want. I've just come up with a way using the factory mating connectors - allowing you to change lights whenever and however you want. Sadly, it's pricy, but I make nothing on these - since I've got half a million pieces sitting in my shop, I'm just trying to recoup my costs.

Just go with the one offered by wagons_ho!. I got a chance to see his harness from a local guy here and it looks pretty damn good. I've been waiting for over a month now, so hopefully I'll have the harness soon.
