It should be on the near the left side of the intake manifold. It is at the end of the fuel rail and near spark plug #3. It is a metal peice with one rubber hose and one metal hose connected to it. That's where it is on my car anyway. |

All you need is a T fitting guage. Just disconect the fuel line from the fuel filter and connect it between the fuel filter and the fuel rail. I have a legacy 2.2 n/a and the pressure should be between 34 and 40 psi. I can't imagine that your engine would be any different although i could be wrong. To test if the FPR is bad you should disconnect the hose from the FPR and the pressure should rise to (38-44psi). If that is not the pressure you are seeing than your FPR is bad. You might want to relieve the fuel pressure before you connect the T fitting. Locate the fuel pump and disconnect the the electrical connector. then turn your car on and allow it to die. then the pressure will be relieved. You don't have to do this it just depends if you care about getting some gas on your hands .good luck Last edited by abosworth; 06-23-2005 at 01:15 PM. |

Many thanks abosworth...I'm planning on doing this and wheel bearing this weekend.
I'm rolling thru VT in early August...I'll stay in touch, and if I'm nearby, I'll buy you a beer! |

Now to perform the actual tests. I'll be dong those next week as I'll be out of town this weekend and I'm feeling desperately lazy in this 90+ degrees and humidity in the Great Lakes region.
