Default Electrical gurus- Perplexing problem

I'm installing jdms using a pnp wiring harness (not vampire taps) and silverstar bulbs. Ok, the problem:

Got everything hooked up, checked out the lights:

*driver's side worked perfectly
*passenger side low beams didn't work. High beams weren't very bright.

We thought we had a bulb problem, so we swapped driver and passenger side bulbs (both high and low) to check. However, we got the same result as above. It's not the bulbs.

We then thought it was the harness. We took them off and swapped sides, the result:

*driver's side low beams didn't work. High beams weren't very bright.
*passenger side worked perfectly.
*the exact opposite as above!

We therefore thought the problem was with the harness, but when we did a continuity test on the harness wires, they both worked.

We have plugged them tightly in, everything seems hooked up....we're stuck!

What else is there to check?

I figured it out- the pnp harness needs to be jiggled to make a good connection. Now I have to figure a way to make it stay connected.
