Default gasket question

I was just playing around with my Stromung Type XA catback that I ordered from boxer4racing.com a while ago and noticed something wierd with the gasket that goes on the end of the mid-pipe closest to the headers/cat. The gasket doesn't line up perfectly with the bolt holes or the pipe for that matter. Its close, but not quite perfect. Is this going to be a problem? Is this the right gasket and if not, where can I get the right one?

Do you mean it fits, but has a little overhang in the pipe? Or it's so close to fitting that it's the right design, it's just a little off?

If so that'll be fine. Trim away the overhang material in the pipe if you like to make it flow a little better, but it'll work fine even if you don't

Sounds like you got a mismanufactured gasket. Buy some gasket material and cut yourself one that matches the flange or go and buy one of those spiffy ones that Subaru specs. I've got homemade ones and it's never once leaked.

would a place like autozone carry this gasket material or where would you suggest getting that?
