Header FAQ

Replace the uppipe while you are doing the header as a header with a stock uppipe is a BIG waste. You can get an eBay one, but I'd rather see you spend a few more bucks and get a Borla, Gruppe-S, or other one around $500 and get a warranty.

i have it and like it alot. the only thing is i wished i had wrapped it before i put it on. thats the only thing i dont like. but it definately seems to add the power up top. i think it was well worth it.

It is from my experience that Megan Racing makes some really good products for their cheap price on EBAY!

Since this wasnít mentioned in the Unabomberís FAQ I donít know if its true. But Iíve heard cheap headers tend to crack on Turboíed engines. Personally if/when/ever I buy a header Iím going to spend the cash for a high dollar one.

Megan DP and Exhaust worked quite nicely though.

i was told the same thing by the main scoob mechanic around here. i was going to get it too since it was cheap and came with the up already in it but he said he's had nothing but problems with them cracking after a while. he personally owned one and it cracked so he went Borla

I really like my Megan header. I also have the Megan CBE, the CBE is a few years old and still looks like new. The header is my most recent mod, mine does not hit the cross member.
I am completely satisfied with my Megan exhaust parts,

so you go spend $600 or more on a set of headers and they will also crack in time. Then you are worse off than buying a cheap set.

Do a search. There have been multiple instances of Megan headers cracking, mostly when heat-wrapped though - so if you do go with Megan, i wouldnt wrap it. If you want to retain low end power, go with a PnP'd stock manifold. again, if you search, there are a couple really good threads comparing dyno charts from different headers and PnP'd stock ones.

It should, I have not ran my plastic cover for 2 years, but it looks like it should fit.
