Default Logan, UT Cruise In

There's a pretty big event here in Logan, UT that draws most of the domestic muscle and whatnot from the west coast. A ton of ol' Chargers, Stingrays, etc. The cruise-in is over the July 4th Weekend, (30st, 1st and 2nd) at the Logan/Cache Fairgrounds. In truth you can see cars all over the place, and it's awesome just seeing them here. Now, to the point.

I was sitting here thinking, and I've noticed a rise in "ricer" cars too. I saw a silver Civic with "R" Rims and a fart can, as far as I could tell, it was about stock beyond that. Then again, the fart can made it impossible to tell just HOW high he was revving. Ah well. I was hoping that some of the RMIC boys could come on down and show up, show people that there are some 4-cylinder cars out there that are far and away the opposite of "Ricer".

Just a thought. Or, hey, just come and check out all the American Mucle, because it's pretty awesome to see all these cars that are, in a word, beautiful.

But yeah, just extending the invite to everyone. As far as I know it's completely free and open to the public, and I'm planning on heading down with a camera at least during one of the days, it runs well into the evening, pretty much 24/7.

I'm not a WRX or Sti owner, but the Legacy GT crowd is inactive. I was wondering if I would be welcome to meet up with some of you in Logan. I'd like to meet some more people that drive Subarus. It seem the ricer crowd hangs out alot and most of the WRX/STi folks usually run solo. See you all in Logan

I'll be around, probably be at work. If I can do a shameless self-plugging here, try out Horlacher's Deli if you're going for lunch. 30W 700N, behind Logan Lube and across the street from A&W's. Nothing too fancy, but ask for Matthew and mention you heard about it from NASIOC and I'll get you a bit of a discount for lunch.

Would be cool to see a Legacy GT, I've never actually seen one in person, not too many around here that I know of. Will look for you guys July 4th weekend!

As for why Ricers hang in groups and Subie owners ride solo usually, look at the types of people. Subie owners like the power and capability of a Subaru, knowing that they can go off-road with little problem and probably do it better than most 4x4's or SUVs. Ricers...well, all a Ricer ever is, is to impress other people. A solo ricer is an oxymoron.

Well said Tenshi.

I'd like to show up, but it's not likely. The more Legacies, the better, turbo or not.

Which day are some of you planning on getting to Logan? A friend of mine and I will heading that way on Friday to scope out Logan, because I've never been there. I'll try to stop by the restuarant so that you can see my car. I will look out other Subbie folks while I'm there.
