I'll say 800 lbs. I've had 550lbs in the back and it didn't look half that bad.

Cool

Did you scale in and scale out to get that weight?
Did you have super power steering?
How was the braking?
How far did you drive with that much weight?
Did the cops give you any funny looks?
Inquiring minds want to know !
Keep it under 900 (kilos), folks!

Yes scale in and out.... they want thier money..
Braking and streering was good
I drove 1 mile at the most.
No cops

Drove right in to the back yard and dumped it off.

I was laying down a base for a 12X16 shed..

Im sorry that is to much weight the baja is not a fullsize, midsize or compact pickup so it doesnt need to be treated like one. Its its own league like the roncharo, el comino, and yes even the brat.

The Baja is a trucka nd I use it as a truck. I have found no problems using it that way. I'm a firefighter and belive me I could have gotten a ""real truck"" and had to put up with poor gas milage and having to deal with the longness of it(I have i child so it would be a crewcab) but this fit me fine. If you bought your to look pretty then that's fine I choose to use mine and I would still be that If i had an 03 that mine would look better because of the way i take care of it if your using the truck you need to look after it.

Yes While they are Different Frames that doesn't mean it's not a truck Some jeeps are built on ladder frames but they are not trucks are they??? it comes down to this, I bought a truck and I will use it as a truck. While you have the same make and model you have a car and will use it as a car.
That's that.

Putting a bed in the back of a LEGACY does NOT make it a truck. Jeeps with ladder frames can haul alot more than a Baja and yes I would consider anything with a ladder frame to be a truck and aunibody to be a car.
