Default How durable is an EGT tap?

Im wondering what the chances are of an exhaust leak from where it is tapped, or how durable the plug would be in long term use?

thanks guys.

Don't worry about the threaded connection. If you use the proper drill and don't screw up the tapping of the hole you will be alright.
As far as the probe goes, I'm not sure what to tell you. There are different types of probes - shielded & unshielded. AFAIK, the shielded probes will last longer but have a slower response time. Maybe someone else can chime in with actual probe life examples.
