Question Okay, so 2.5" ... But what catback for '01 OB H6?

Hey guys. I posted a couple weeks ago about the ideal pipe diameter for an '01 Outback LL Bean (H6). Most said that 2.5" would be best, so okay...

Now, I may go with a custom setup for cost reasons, but what else exists for this car?

www.subaruwrxparts.com and of course every other Subaru dealer has a "GT" axleback upgrade, but I somehow doubt the piping is the proper size (if even any larger than stock).

Speaking of which... what size IS the stock pipe on this car? Feels to me like maybe 2-2.25," just by way of a "wrap the hand around the axleback pipe" test.

The SoA upgrade is <$250 I think, or thereabouts. Cheap compared to aftermarket ones, but pricey next to a custom job, I bet. Anyway, for anyone who's upgraded the H6 Outback, please let me know. It looks like a tight fit in there, too... plus this car has a hidden hitch/towbar attachment, but I don't think that'll intrude on the design. I'll have to look more closely.

I think the tips stick out from within a piece of the underbody, not the towbar.
