Default Lighting problem, need help

I have a set of morettes that have been working fine, but I added some Cibie 35 foglights and now my passenger lowbeam works intermittenly. Sometimes it is on, sometimes not. Even if it has been on for hours, as soon as I hit the highbeams and go back to lowbeams it is out again. I figure there is probably a problem with the fog wiring, but my friend pretty much did all the wiring. Any ideas as to what the problem is (my friend is out of town)? I know the bulb is fine and the foglights work no problem. I checked all the morette plugs and they all appear to be seated tight. Thanks in advance guys.

Are the Morettes HIDs or regular halogens?

They are just halogens, not HID

The foglight wiring shouldn't affect the headlights. How do you know the bulb is fine, have you swapped them between sides?
Go over the headlight wiring carefully, wiggle things around with the low beams on and see if you can replicate the problem.

I think the bulbs are fine because the light up sometimes and they will constantly stay on if you switch the highbeams on (because the high/lowbeams are all on). So the bulb is not dead. Sometimes the lowbeam is off when I start the car, sometimes it is on. When it is on, if I hit the highbeams, then kill the high's, that one lowbeam is off again. It never seems to come back on until, I turn all the lights off and turn them back on. It is really wierd and I can't seem to isolate the problem and like I said I didn't do any of the wiring. But it seems like an odd coincidents that the lowbeam started acting up right after the foglight install.....but I guess it could be a coincidence. Thanks for the help Mulder, this isn't the first time you have helped me out. I really appriciate it.

Mulder, I have been serching all day at work. If I am getting intermittent power that means that my fuse would be good, correct? I have just been thinking how the foglights would effect my single lowbeam. I am so confused. All the wiring seems to be tight, do I need to manually ground anything? I have tried all the fixes for other similair problems, I found by searching the forum. I am at my wits end. Please keep the ideas comming.

FYI, they don't flicker they are just on or off, when I flip the heaplamp switch initially. Turning the lights on and fiddleing with the wires yields nothing. Yet sometimes if I turn the car off, or turn the lights off completely and turn them back on they work....but they always die after I hit/turn off the highbeams.
