Default Quick question. Hanger location 02 RS vs. 98-01 and 02-03 WRX

Ok, quick quick question. I searched, but couldn't find anything.

Main question: How (if any) do the back hanger locations (i.e. axleback) differ between an 02 RS and the 02-03 WRX's. Are they different at all?

Furthermore, how do they differ between the 98-99 and 00-01 hanger locations if any? If I'm correct, it's one of the rear locations that needs to be flipped, right?

Now, if anyone knows why... why would Subaru change the hanger position from the RS and WRX of the same year? I don't quite understand.

I assume this isn't too hard of a welding job to relocate this positon, right?

btw, thanks for the quick info!

02+ RS and WRX hangers are the same.

01 back-the foward hanger on the axle back is moved over a bit. I don't think it's necessary to use that hanger anyway, the exhaust from an 02+ cat back will use the other 3 hangers and that should be enough to hold the exhaust steady. If it isn't, just get some kartboys

Hmm, so you report differently than piker28?

My main concern is with the 02-03 WRX vs. RS hanger locations, as I plan to buy a WRX axleback. I'm worried about fitment mainly, and I'd like to use all the hanger locations without modification if possible. Anyone have pictures of the underside of each? hmm...

you have an 02, youll be aight...at most i think the tip will be a little pushed over, or that could have been from my midpipe

and you have to get welding done for the wrx axleback anyway so whats one more little change with the hanger

The 02 RS has the same hangar locations as the 02/03 WRX because that is dependent on the chassis not the motor.
