Default Anyone who has done a JDM EJ20 swap into GC8s...

...where did you get those engines? I live in Hawaii, most of our shops do USDM 2.5L STi swaps or RS-Ts but never have I seen or heard about anyone doing a J-spec EJ20 swap. I own a MY93 Impreza, shops out here that distribute JDM engines only offer pricy Ver. 5 or 6 engines and I'm looking for a Ver. 3 or 4 engines, which I learned is cheaper and is OBD-I like the MY93 model. Any suggestions where I can score one for a good deal with a tranny, ECU, harness?... and a wiring diagram to come with it if I'm lucky. Thanks.

www.gr8wheels.com

They're now called JDM Importers. I have had nothing but great experiences with them.

Finelineimports has front clips, which I would recomend since you get almost everything that you need. If you do that, then pretty much all you need is an exhaust, clutch, flywheel (if desired), spark plugs, and the rear axles

I second Jaxx's suggestion. Or go shopping down under and find an Australian exporter that will ship one directly to you. Then you don't have a language barrier to contend with, and they were getting STi's in 97-98. Start by hitting MRT's BBS, and go from there...
