Default double skyline spotting in greenville sc

so i was driving back from philly from an oasis concert (free plug) this weekend and we were just about home on 85 when i looked over and realized that we were passinig not one but 2 skylines cruising down the interstate at 3 in the morning

. . . right here in greenville sc . . . made my day.

i spoke to a guy at a car show one time who was babysitting a skyline and he was saying that there were only 8 leagal skylines in the country - maybe i misunderstood. 2 of 8 leagal, or 2 illegal - it's a sweet story!

There were 3 Skylines w/ SC plates at rockingham this weekend, all of which were non-turbo automatics.

yeah, those were brought over from psi motorsports in Charlotte. The have another skyline in their showroom. I'm pretty sure they are all salvaged title cars that have been pieced together locally. Not to mention they want 60k for a rough, non-turbo auto skyline with no title.

Heh, I had a double spotting about two weeks ago. 1 black R32 GTR and some base model family car looking Skyline. The R32 was very badass. I followed him into a gas station and fed his ego somewhat. Whatever. I'm a dork.

Yeah, I've heard about the Skyline in columbia from my bro. Team Rush is still around. But I haven't chilled with them for a while. I got a couple of friends in Team Rush.

Who in their right mind would shell out that kind of money for a non-turbo, auto Skyline??

I guess someone has, or they wouldn't have them.

The Skyline has become legend in the US... and mostly because the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence/pond/Pacific.

I think I saw that one at a drift event in Bradenton one time...and youre right, talk about a hot car. I also saw another silver R33 GTR at OSW one friday night at the street drags. IIRC it ran something like 11.7 (forgot trap speed) w/ TBE, EM, FMIC, and a 75 shot

Here, it doesn't even have to be a GT-R to get respect......

I still like them, and they are great cars (the GT-Rs anyway).

I wish Ford would bring the Australian Falcon over here.
A handsome car, and some nice engine and suspension options (unlike our Rustang....).

One is a killer turbocharged straight 6. They had one tuned to the song of 1200 HP

i'm not very skyline savy so i don't know what models the were, but one had some decals and/or paint work across the side so it had some kind of work done to it - maybe just exterior.

i wasn't driving at the time, but i wish i'd made ben get us a closer look . . . or gotten the camera out and video tapped them, but i guess that might piss an illegal car driver off

I have been to PSI several times, they do have a few there, but like burnin4 said, the cars are rough.

Like BeaverBoy said Skylines have become legends in America. I would love to have a GT-R but I don't think its really worth the money and hassle. Now, If I lived in Japan or Asia that would be a different story.

Everyone was scaried of Team Rush because the car scene in Columbia sucks and it still sucks. They had some of the fastest cars and some of their members are crazy. When I first met Team Rush years ago I thought they were really cocky. But once you get to know them they're cool. Its funny they never talked to me until a certain mr2 with just a boost controller beat a couple of hondas with swaps.

I think what would be fun would be dropping an entire GT-R drivetrain into a G35 coupe. Imagine a G35 with an RB26DETT and AWD.....
