Default Mystery Green Plug Under Driver Side Dash '05 STi

anyone know what this plug is and why it may be disconnected from the other side of the plug? i dont know if i kicked it loose by accident...

that looks like this plug the cars are delivered with plugged in, and the techs are supposed to unplug it when prepping the car.
But thats usually on the passenger side. But that looks EXACTLY like that plug.

that is to put your car into test mode! us peoples with the accessport have to plug those two together and add one other somewhere else to re flash our ecu!... if you plug them in, and put the key to on, your car will cycle through radiator fan cycles and so on and so forth, and will drive very slowly. :-)

you also have one in the passenger side kick panel, both must be connected for diagnostic mode. If you buy an AP you will find this out quickly, which I reccommend buying

that actually looks like the plug I had in the WRX. Disabled the plug and a wire to allow teh clutchless start.

Could be completely different on the 05s?

STi only needs the plug under driver side connected for AP base map flashing. Not even sure if there is one on the passenger side.
